In a nutshell, I am a polymath.
I returned to Wpg in 2013 after a 3-year stint in NYC. I bit the big apple hard, performing and producing in everything I could get my hands on, from site specific theatre in Central Park, to Off-Off-Broadway dance shows. My top three most memorable: General Manager at Carrie Ahern Dance, Festival Coordinator at Horse Trade Theater Group, and dance captain in “Bastard”, the first in “The Painted Bird” trilogy, performed at La MaMa with Palissimo. Also significant: training with Anne Bogart's SITI Company in Suzuki and Viewpoints.
Since returning to the 'Peg, I've performed in Wine & Words for Theatre by the River, and produced About Love & Champagne for Rod Beilfuss in the 2014 Master Playwrights Festival. In 2015 I produced a one-night-only show which sold out (and received great acclaim) called "Tonight at 8:00" with Impel Theatre for the 2015 Master Playwrights Festival. In the Spring of 2015 I produced Hamlet for Bravura Theatre, which sold out the entire run. For the Winnipeg Fringe 2015 I produced the show DADDY ISSUES: Stories Told By A Son which was written and performed by my good friend Peter Aguero.
In one of my other lives I'm a healthcare expert, having worked in most areas of healthcare for over 20 years. I put that to good use as the Operations Coordinator for the Clinical Learning and Simulation Program at the University of Manitoba in 2014-2015. Currently I am a Coordinator with Cancer Care Manitoba, focusing on the Guardian Angel Caring Room, helping people work with appearance-related side effects to cancer treatment.
My future is bright, and includes further work with artists of all discipline, directing theatre, dance dramaturgy, and rebel rousing. And most recently I've developed an addiction to Salsa dancing. Arriba!
